Back in Phnom Penh

Charles and I came back to Phnom Penh for a visit this weekend. Yesterday we took the 6 am bus from Prey Veng to Phnom Penh and arrived around 8:30. The bus was somewhat crowded, but since it was early in the morning, it wasn't so hot.

Since I have been eating rice at least twice a day, sometimes three times (that's over my limit), Charles and I went to a western coffeeshop for lunch. I had a baked potato that was divine. Since the Russian market was a block away, we stopped there and I bought another pair of capris. On the way back, I had a little incident. Charles and I had borrowed bikes from the MCC office to go for lunch. Since the traffice in Phnom Penh is much busier than Prey Veng I was staying very close to the right side of the road. Another cyclist decided to come up behind me on the ride side and sideswipe me so that I lost my balance and jammed my toe. It could have been alot worse, but it still alarmed me. Right then, I wanted to go back to Prey Veng and never come back! I made it back to the office and propped my foot up. It's only a little sore and black and blue. But now I think it's hilarious because this is the same toe that Kelley (accidently) rammed a couch into last August and my toenail has finally grown back.

Today I am going on a cyclo tour of downtown along with some other MCCers. It should be enjoyable.
