A glimpse into my three years serving with Mennonite Central Committee in Cambodia, transitioning to America, and a new adventure in Philadelphia.

2 years
Yesterday, October 16, marked two years with MCC. I celebrated with Charles, Amy, and Scott at the Kiwi Bakery. Two weeks from today I'll be sitting in Orange County, Virginia. I'll be eating dinner with my family, just like I never left. Two days ago I freaked out; I realized I'm really leaving Prey Veng for six weeks. One week from tomorrow is the GRE. I need calm and serenity, not the turmolt that currently churns my heart. I claim to be a pacifist, but how can I create peace in the world when so many opposing emotions bubble unconciously to the surface?

Well, if you start to wonder if Cambodia was just a dream and if you never actually left, just look to your arms for the tan lines!
Good luck with the GRE, I know it's stressful and you're scattered at the moment but you're a intelligent person and if you can focus I'm sure you'll do great.
If you do find out a way to balance out all those strong clashing emotions let me know, I never found a way but to weather the storm and just plough ahead.
